Filming on break

As mentioned before in my previous blog my group was having trouble to pick a day to film. After carefully consideration we decided to film on December 5th. This would’ve been a perfect day for us because it was supposed to be a PSD where get out of school at 11:59 am. This would’ve allowed to basically get the full day to film. However, a couple days ago we realized that we were not receiving a PSD on that date. This messed up our whole plan completely. We had to quickly think of another day to film that will fit all of our schedules. We first decided that it had to be a day after school. To decide which day was the hassle. After long discussions we finally decided to film Wednesday (December 4th) after school.

As soon as the bell ring at 2:40 pm we will all meet up in one place. We will then order our uber to go to the nearest beach since this was the main place we were going to film. While we are in the car we will record the scene that needs that scenery. In this scene we will record all of the four of us in the car. The film will shortly cut to when we are walking out of the car, this part will be edited to be in slow motion. We will do this about 3 times to ensure that this specific part of the recording is good since we will only be in the car together once. We will then record majority of the rest of the scenes on the beach. This will include the going back of forth between the main character and the rest of the girls. When the main character is in the frame one of the other girls would record and when when the other girls are in the frame the main character would record. This will continue up until the last few seconds of the music video.

In the last scenes of the video the scenery will change as well as who is in the frame. For the scenery we will still be at the beach but instead of actually being on the sand we will be sitting at one of the beach tables. We changed the scenery because it correlates with what we had in mind. At first the girls will be surrounding the main character telling her to stop stressing herself over the boy and that she should be having fun. After we will then walk away from the beach tables and start walking to a nearby food place where everyone can enjoy themselves. This part is important because it shows how the girl finally stopped worrying about a boy who clearly did not care about her. In these scenes we will need a tripod to record since everyone would be in the shot. In the part when we are walking to a different location we would probably need someone to record us as we are walking.
Although we have not recorded yet, everything will certainly go smoothly since every little step is planned out.
